How to Get a Library Card

Your first library card is free.

To get a library card, you will need to fill out a Library Card Application and return it to the library. You can print the form or you can pick up one up at the library.

Library staff will create your new card for you while you wait.

All patrons are required to present library cards in order to check out materials or use the computers.

Identification Requirements

Current picture ID with name and current address

OR

Current picture ID and a piece of recently received mail with your name and current address.

Identification Requirements for Children

Children must be at least 5 years old to register for a library card.

A parent or legal guardian must sign the application form for children under 14 years of age.

A parent’s identification may be used for minors.

A parent or legal guardian has legal responsibility for his or her child’s use of the library, and is responsible for their fines and/or lost materials.

Children must be present when being issued a card.

Expiration Dates

Most library card registrations are good for 2 years.

You can re-register your card at the library. All fines and fees must be paid in full at time of re-registration.

Replacement Cards

If your card is lost, stolen or damaged, it will cost $1.00 for a replacement.
